💼 The Challenge
At Hammer, the Agri & Food sector is our main market. Currently, we are developing a platform of committed members within the agricultural sector (farmers, growers, etc.), providing our clients and ourselves access to the core of the sector for research purposes while informing the sector about the latest developments. Our members contribute to our market research by participating in surveys and interviews in return for insights and incentives. This platform enables us to research all kinds of topics like customer needs, price optimization, perspective on sustainability issues, brand awareness etc.
We aim to enrich this panel with new members in existing categories and new categories, both in the Netherlands and in other countries around the globe. It is key to building a committed relationship with our panel members. You will be at the center of the development of this platform, which will be the core of our future business.
As an intern in this function, your main responsibility is to offer support in expanding and maintaining our database of research panel members in the agricultural sector.
You will perform a wide variety of tasks including:
- Identifying ways to acquire new panel members;
- Reaching out to companies and potential panel members in the agricultural sector;
- Maintaining relationships as a contact person on our behalf;
- Providing support in data collection and analysis tasks, helping you gain experience in market research and consultancy.
To give you a more straight-forward idea of this work, examples are:
- Identifying associations and other companies with access to potential panel members;
- Reaching out to these companies and setting up meetings to discuss shared interests;
- Calling potential members in order to convince them to commit to our panel;
- Conducting different kinds of market research methods to collect the right data to support the decisions of our clients.
🤝 What do you bring to the table?
- HBO or University student: currently in the final phase of your study in a relevant field (commercial economics, business administration, agrotechnology, food & business);
- Curiosity, enthusiasm, an ambitious mindset & willingness to learn;
- Commercial, proactive mindset and you are not afraid to pick up the phone;
- Ability to work independently in a highly paced environment;
- Fluent in Dutch and (business) English is a must;
- Experience with Excel is a pre;
- Previous sales experience (face-to-face and/or via phone) is a pre.
