As a Global Network organisation we have a small Head Office in Hoofddorp where a few central functions on behalf of the business units are performed with around 150 employees. For more information, kindly refer to our global website.

One of the teams based in the Head Office is the Global Innovation Team. This team is focused on supporting our Business Units around the world in their innovation efforts by helping them in finding new innovative solutions and facilitating the validation and implementation of such solutions. One way to do so is through “open innovation” methodology. The Global Innovation Team at SHV Energy has recently put more focus on collaborating with universities, researchers, start-ups, and scaleups to co-develop and collaborate on innovative solutions within the domains of health and safety, sustainable fuels, sustainability/impact, and new products and business models. These collaborations are done via different means such as innovation challenges, technology scouting, and innovation networks. You will be joining the Global Innovation Team to work on our open innovation initiatives.

🤩 The Challenge

• Support the Procurement Data Manager in Hoofddorp with the various tasks and projects
• Support spend data quality campaign across global procurement community by collecting feedbacks from Business Units and conducting discrepancy analysis between Procurement Data Warehouse and ERP/ Finance systems
• Assist with creating a troubleshooting process to identify the cause of spend data quality problems. Incl. what are the symptoms of the problem? Where and when does the problem occur? Can the problem be reproduced? How to prevent the problem in the future?
• Validate, interpret and present data quality results to stakeholders

🎯 We are looking for

• An HBO or University (bachelor) student, studying Math, Computer Science, Business Analytics or equivalent.
• Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, PowerBI, SQL, R, Python, tableau, etc.
• Strong communication skills. Good English language communication (oral and writing) as you will directly be in contact with stakeholders around the world.
• Available 4-5 days per week for a period of 3 months, with possibility to extend (one day in the office and other hours from home).
• Start date: ASAP
