As a Global Network organization, we have a small Head Office in Hoofddorp where a few central functions on behalf of the business units are performed with around 150 employees. For more information, we kindly refer to our global website.<\/p>\n

One of the teams based in the Head Office is the Global Innovation Team. This team is focused on supporting our Business Units around the world in their innovation efforts by helping them in finding new innovative solutions and facilitating the validation and implementation of such solutions. One way to do so is through \u201copen innovation\u201d methodology.<\/p>\n

The Global Innovation Team at SHV Energy has recently put more focus on collaborating with universities, researchers, start-ups, and scaleups to co-develop and collaborate on innovative solutions within the domains of health and safety, sustainable fuels, sustainability\/impact, and new products and business models. These collaborations are done via different means, such as innovation challenges, technology scouting, and innovation networks. You will join the Global Innovation Team to work on our open innovation initiatives.<\/p>\n

🔎 Who are we looking for?<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • A 3rd or 4th-year student (HBO or WO) \u2013 preferably studying in the field of innovation, entrepreneurship, business management, or related topics<\/li>\n
  • Ability to act independently as well as the ability to work in a team environment<\/li>\n
  • Strong communication skills<\/li>\n
  • Good English language communication (oral and writing) as you will directly be in contact with stakeholders around the world<\/li>\n
  • Available 4-5 days per week for a period of 5 \u2013 7 months (one day in the office and other hours from home)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    💼 <\/strong>The challenge<\/h3>\n

    • Support the Global Open Innovation Manager in Hoofddorp with the various tasks and projects<\/li>\n
    • Assist with setting up a local start-up database and sourcing data, and assessing innovation opportunities<\/li>\n
    • Help with setting up the innovation trend watching and market intelligence platform and executing market research on specific domains and topics<\/li>\n
    • Assist in running, project management, and stakeholder management of the Open Innovation Challenges<\/li>\n
    • Support launch and implementation of the Open Innovation Platform<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
